Compensation-Related Maximum Wage Rates
Section titled “Compensation-Related Maximum Wage Rates”Current Maximum Wage Rates
Section titled “Current Maximum Wage Rates”Section 209 of the Workers Compensation Act (“Act”) requires WorkSafeBC to determine the maximum wage rate to be applicable for the following calendar year, in order to determine the amount of a worker’s average earnings, for the purpose of determining the amount of compensation payable to an injured or disabled worker, or the worker’s dependants.
The maximum wage rate for 2023, effective January 1, 2023, is $112,800.
