He’d be able to advice us of what’s legally possible. But they need engagement fee to start. Normally runs from 10k CAD to start. Then it’d be hourly rate depends on the service scope. He can probably get a rouge estimate of the scope from the first 1-2 hour of meeting.

Sorry for another email but Andrea (the lawyer you’d be meeting with) said that should you retain us to do more extensive work for you after the consultation, we will deduct the fee for tomorrow’s consultation. In other words, if you retain us after the consult for more work, the consultation will be free – we will apply the $420 that we would be holding in our trust account to a future invoice we issue for work you retain us to do instead of being applied to the invoice for the consultation. The invoice for the consultation would be discounted for the full amount.

For new clients, our office holds a one hour consultation between you and a lawyer of your choice for them to better get at the underlying facts of your situation.
