- After the first year of consecutive employment, you will be entitled to receive an annual vacation allowance of 2 weeks, which will increase in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
- For the first five years you’re with EonLabs, annual vacation pay shall be calculated at 4% of wages (less applicable deductions).
- After five consecutive years, annual vacation pay shall be calculated at 6% of salary (less applicable deductions). You shall take vacations at times and in a manner that minimizes interference with EonLabs operations, subject to the EonLabs’ pre-approval in writing.
Statutory Holiday in British Columbia

if a Statutory Holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is substituted and observed as a company holiday;

if a Statutory Holiday falls on a Saturday, the previous Friday is substituted and observed as a company holiday. For example:

Since 2023 New Year’s Day falls on Sunday, January 1, Monday January 2 is substituted and observed as a company holiday.

Since 2023 Canada Day falls on Saturday, July 1, Friday June 30 is substitute and observed as a company holiday.

Since 2023 Remembrance Day falls on Saturday, November 11, Friday November 10 is substituted and observed as a company holiday.
- On March 9, 2023, the Province of British Columbia passed legislation to make September 30 a statutory holiday. Enshrining National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in B.C. law gives more people the chance to commemorate the history and legacy of the residential school system on September 30 each year.

Vacation Pay
An employee is entitled to two weeks’ vacation after completion of their first year of employment. The vacation time is to be taken during the second year of employment, with the vacation pay calculated as 4% of total wages earned in the first year. Paid vacation pay becomes part of total wages for the year it is paid. Vacation pay in subsequent years is based on 4% of the total wages in the previous year. After completion of five years of employment, the employee becomes entitled to three weeks’ vacation, with 6% vacation pay based on total wages from the fifth year of employment. In the following years, an employee’s vacation entitlement remains at three weeks’ vacation with 6% vacation pay, based on the previous year’s total wages.
