Section 13 of the TFWPA grants the Director authority to suspend or cancel a certificate of registration if satisfied the applicant has failed to comply with applicable labour legislation.

Your certificate of registration expires on 17/7/2026. You are responsible for ensuring your certificate of registration is renewed prior to expiry. You should submit your renewal application at least 30 days before your certificate of registration expires.

As an employer of foreign workers, you must meet your obligations. The penalties for not meeting your legal obligations may include fines, suspending or cancelling your certificate of registration or jail time. You can learn about your obligations on our website.

In accordance with Section 101 of the Employment Standards Act, and Section 62 of the Temporary Foreign Worker Protection Act, the Director may publish information relating to contraventions of the Act or Regulation including the identity of persons named in a Determination. On February 1st, 2023, the Director began publishing limited information related to violations for all determinations issued on or after this date on our website at https://services.labour.gov.bc.ca/EmployerViolations.
