Company size of EonLabs? How many of them are engineers?

There are a total of five employees working full-time, three of whom are engineers.

Can you tell me more about the Enigma Trading System?

Enigma is a mid-frequency directional trading system, issuing around 15 trading decisions per minutes. At the peak of its trading volume, it was responsible controlling assets that turn overed $5-10 billion USD a month in one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange (i.e. Binance).

Crypto value can evaporate overnight. How do you deal with that?

We don’t trade the crypto spot market. We trade futures contract only, which is the derivatives of the spot market. There’s always some counterparties to trade against.

EonLabs earns crypto. But can I still be legally paid in Canadian dollars?

Yes, because EonLabs pays quite a lot of income taxes as it is legally required given its operation in BC, Canada so that you can be legally paid through the Canadian banking system in Canadian dollars without any issues.

Is the core products and services of Eon Labs outsourced in any way?

No, everything is in-house developed so far.

Do you offer new employee adaptation and training programs?

As of right now, none of our openings have a specialized training or adaptation program in place. This is in part owing to the fact that even we, as a company, are always striving to adapt with the rapidly changing crypto financial market and trends. Notwithstanding, we do have in-house Notion-powered knowledge base for new employees to orient themselves and to catch up to speed.

How can I compete with global talents if EonLabs is recruiting globally?

Many software engineers in North America are familiar with the technologies that we employ, such as AWS, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python. Other regions, like China and India, face a more considerable difficulty recruiting and retaining qualified engineers. Because of this, the barrier of recruiting talents in those regions is fairly similar to if not much greater than it is in North America.

More B2B or more B2C products?

Because investment groups and financial institutions are our primary audience, EonLabs principally develops products for the business-to-business market. They do not act in the same manner as typical retail customers. For example, the focus is on functionality, not a slick user interface.

Full-time or part-time job?

Full-time permanent positions. But if you’re unable to work full-time, we may discuss on a case by case basis on some other forms of Partnership.

Is there a dedicated time to work or is this a flexible time work arrangement?

We track employees’ work by Time Doctor & JIRA. Hours of work are flexible.

Employment *only* or is there any other forms that we can work together?

We already have a structure in place for a profit-sharing Partnership with some of the most prominent machine learning researchers working on time series forecasting. You are more than welcome to ask for a sample of our partnership agreement and to consider working with us in a collaborative capacity. Text our Director of Operations (Terry) for more info.

Do I get paid month?

Yes.

Can I ask for higher salary?

Yes, you may specify the minimal salary that you’re hoping to get even before the hiring & screening process begin. And you can change your mind even after we send you the job offer.

Is there a probational period?

There is a mandatory probationary period of six (6) months for all newly hired full-time employees. Compensation is up for discussion and will be subject to revision after a period of six months to one year.

Am I able to get stock options after probation period?

It is the plan to issue stock options for the first 10-15 founding employees who join EonLabs.

Since EonLabs is planning to have an office in Vancouver by the 3rd quarter of 2023, must I relocate to Vancouver, too?

No, you still have the options to choose to work remotely.

What perks are you providing, such as health care, pension plan?

Sunlife insurance group benefits for extended health care & dental.

Do I need to get my own device to work on software project(s)?

Yes, you’re supposed to have your own computer to bring to work since the work is remote work. The company will not provide you with computers unless extraordinary circumstance warranted, such as extra computing powers are needed.

What kind of data do I have to work with?

Time series data from the cryptocurrency market.
