It was great talking to you and James. I would like to follow up on our conversation with the following:
- For live trading performance, on second thought I think it would be more efficient and simpler to run my demo trend-following trading system on my local machine and share with you my api key, as AWS needs to be set up and there may be additional issues to look after. If my local environment very occasionally gets electricity and internet issues. I can just manually reboot my system. In this way, we can monitor the trend-following system until Chinese New Year.
- For the historical (live trading) results of my existing systems (1 month of trend-following system and 3 months of market-making system), I can share the daily nav with you if that would be helpful.
- For the Canadian work visa, on the official website they say they would need both an offer letter and a contract. So, I am not sure whether a temporary offer letter will suffice. If there are alternative ways to resolve this, I will be happy to explore and look into them.
- Additionally, to answer James’ question I also checked the trade execution latency on my current firm’s system. It is usually within 200ms, but can be as long as 1s during extreme market conditions. Please let me know your thoughts on these. Thank you very much.

Hi Terry,
Jim mentioned you had said he should direct a few questions to HWA and i wanted to make sure we were aligned.
He asked us what a base salary and payout structure would be like if he moved to Canada as an EonLabs employee. I didnt want to answer without checking with you first.
In my view, regarding the base + bonus structure for an employee hire, Jim could reasonably expect between 90k-140k USD (120k-190k CAD) for a base and the bonus dependent on his PnL based on our opinion. Typically independent prop shops will offer a lower base but a higher % of PnL. What do you think?
Jim also expressed concerns about the timeline, as he thinks it’ll take him a month to learn the Nautilus Trader coding system but is worried about potential other candidates in the interview process that may finish quicker than he does leading to him losing the opportunity. I am pretty sure this isnt the case but wanted to check with you first.
